Information Session: 2021/22 Opportunities Fund
2021

The Metcalf Foundation’s Opportunities Fund is an open call for innovative ideas and compelling approaches that can contribute to building a more equitable city where low-income people are able to access to Toronto’s vibrant economy.

On October 15, 2021, Inclusive Local Economies Program Director, Adriana Beemans, led an webinar that provided an overview of the 2021/22 Opportunities Fund’s Program Guidelines and application process.

This session covered:

  • the strategic focus areas of the Opportunities Fund,
  • what the Foundation will consider when reviewing letters of interest,
  • components of successful applications,
  • common pitfalls of unsuccessful applications that applicants should try to avoid, and
  • questions from the audience.

This webinar is recommended for those interested in applying to the Opportunities Fund and submitting a letter of interest to the upcoming November 18, 2021 deadline. New applicants to the program will find the webinar particularly helpful, but it might also be useful for people who have applied, either successfully or unsuccessfully, in the past.

You can watch a recording of the webinar below and download the slides here and download the transcript here.
