Overview
At the Metcalf Foundation, our grantmaking work is focused in three specific areas:
- sustaining the vibrancy of the professional performing arts,
- harnessing the benefits of living within the Earth's environmental limits , and
- improving low-income peoples’ economic livelihoods and access to quality jobs.
In addition to grant programs in these individual areas, the Foundation also has two program that support individuals and organizations across all three of these sectors: Innovation Fellowship and Renewal Program.
The Foundation works by:
- supporting dynamic leaders who are contributing to positive change;
- nurturing innovative approaches to tackling tough problems and seizing opportunities; and
- encouraging dialogue and learning to build knowledge and to inform action.
