Individual Leadership Fund
The Individual Leadership Fund is one of two funding streams of the Leading & Learning program. It provides supports to senior nonprofit management individuals who wish to pursue professional leadership development with a recognized institution.
The fund is designed specifically for leaders who work for a charitable organization and who have made notable contributions to the sector. It provides individuals an opportunity to develop and refine their leadership capacity by participating in a recognized leadership program with a clear training curriculum. Examples of programs include those offered at: Banff Centre, Rockwood Leadership Institute, Hollyhock Lifelong Learning Centre, Vantage Point.

Eligibility
Applicants to the program must work in one of Metcalf’s three program areas:
- Environment – The individual’s organization must be working at the intersection of climate, biodiversity, and sustainable neighbourhoods.
- Performing Arts – The individual’s organization must be a professional theatre, dance, music, or opera company working in the City of Toronto to support leadership and innovation in the performing arts.
- Inclusive Local Economies – The individual’s organization must be working on
long-term strategies that create sustainable economic opportunities for low-income people and communities in Toronto.
This fund has been designed for individuals who work for a charitable organization in a leadership position with decision-making authority, and who have made notable contributions to the nonprofit sector.
Applications must be submitted by the charitable organization that employs the leader. The organization must have a current, valid charitable registration from the Canada Revenue Agency.
